Meeting Minutes
June 24, 2010

The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Phil Greschner at 5:35pm. Members in attendance were Cindy Cardinal, Phil Greschner, Samantha Johnson, and Virginia Zaidel. Absent were Mary Oelke, Theresa Schindler, and Bernie Shelton Others in attendance: Bob Zaidel and Darryl Oelke.

The secretary’s report was presented. Phil made a motion, seconded by Virginia to accept the secretary’s report as written. Motion carried.

Treasurer Samantha Johnson reported that the checkbook balance is $4,753.40. The savings account balance is $1,657.73. Cindy made a motion, seconded by Phil to accept the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.

Central WI Truckers Picnic:
No action.

2010 Fair Planning:
We still need to get crown for the queen contestants. The wrist band hours on Friday night have changed to 6-9 pm to keep the cost down. We will put a full page ad in the O-W Enterprise at a cost of $336. They have been good about putting fair information in the paper. Most of the food, soda, and water has been ordered from Family Foods. Kim Christophersen (Hayloft Tavern) is donating aprons and gloves. She will also cut up onions for us. The queen candidates are not doing a very good job of selling tickets. We need to think about what we can change next year in regard to the raffle. The beer will be here next week. Joe’s Refrigeration will check the cooler to make sure everything is working correctly. We will order 2 cases of chocolate milk and 1 case of white milk from Mauel’s Dairy and try it on the menu this year. Cindy will check with DPW Gary Smith to see if the water heater in the food stand is working, about public works grading the area for the tractor pull, and to see who is working that weekend. She will also ask June Roohr if we can borrow the crockpot that FOS uses for hotdogs for their auctions. Appreciation Night for our helpers will be July 12th beginning at 6 pm. Samantha and Cindy will set things up. We will order bars from Family Foods. Samantha made a motion, seconded by Cindy to have the Fair Committee pick up the cost of the three operators licenses used during the Fair. Motion carried.

Central WI Truckers Picnic:
No action.

Samantha made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Phil. Meeting was adjourned at 6:50 pm. Next meeting will be held July 1 at 5:30 pm at Mill Pond Park.
