THE CITY OF OWEN
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER 7, 2010
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Dan Tolzmann at 7:05 pm, with member Mike Renderman serving as secretary. Members in attendance were Tolzmann, Renderman, Zimmerman, Benschawel and Zoning Administrator Dennis Looker. Absent was Darlene Zukowski.
Others in attendance at the meeting were Bruce Kimpel, Alice Hamm, Lyle Roe, Kay Roe, Dorthy Roberts, and Ryan Renderman.
Application was made for a 5’ side yard variance by Bruce Kimpel at 525 W. North Street, Parcel #265.0628.000. Bruce would like to construct an emergency exit from the basement. The new construction will match the house with vinyl siding and asphalt shingles. A motion was made by Benschawel, seconded by Zimmerman to allow the variance. Motion passed on a voice vote.
Application was made for an 11’ height variance for construction of a garage at 601 S. Altenburg Avenue, Parcel #265.0633.001 by Wayne Rice. The garage will match the home with vinyl siding and wood construction. An 11’ height variance will allow Wayne to build to 26’ at the peak. A motion was made by Renderman, seconded by Benschawel to allow the variance. Motion passed on a voice vote.
A motion to adjourn was made by Renderman, seconded by Zimmerman to adjourn the zoning board public hearing. Meeting adjourned at 7:41 pm.
