January 24, 2012
The City of Owen Common Council met in regular session on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. Mayor Stephen Heggemeier presided and City Clerk/Treasurer Terri Ernst served as secretary. Present Alderpersons: Hanson, Tolzmann, Lulloff, Lorence, Feldman and Kiviko. A quorum being present, the meeting was called to order. Also present were: Tim Swiggum-CDA Director.
Approve Minutes
A Lorence/Tolzmann motion and subsequent vote approved the minutes for the 1/10/12 meeting.
Public Opinion
Present: Linda Wyeth. No Public opinion.
CDA Report
CDA Director Tim Swiggum reported the CDA met last week. Today Swiggum has spoken to Louks and Konwinski on their developments. Everything continues moving forward.
2011 Budget Amendments
A Tolzmann/Lorence motion and subsequent vote approved the following Resolutions to Amend the 2011 Budget: 2012-2 Ordinance Recodification $1929.24; 2012-3 Squad Mobile Computer $2085.00; 2012-4 Sidewalks $9190.00; 2012-5 Curb & Gutter $803.96; 2012-6 Urban Forestry $36.85.
Year End Funds
A Lorence/Kiviko motion and subsequent vote approved Resolution #2012-1 Year Fund Balances in the amount of $154,789.36.
Overtime Report
A Feldman/Hanson motion and subsequent vote approved the 2011 4th Quarter Overtime Report.
Disbursements
Questions were answered on checks 44010, 44013, 44019. A Tolzmann/Kiviko motion and subsequent vote approved paying the following checks, City Pooled 43972-44031: City Total $29,976.06; Water Total $17,767.70; Sewer Total $2,324.06; TIF #4 $150.00; Tax Roll $274,404.35.
Adjourn
A Lorence/Feldman motion and subsequent vote approved to adjourn the 1/24/12 open session meeting at 5:50 p.m.
