REGISTRATION: 

To register online, please go to https://myvote.wi.gov and verify that you are a registered voter at your current address. You must be registered to vote and live at your designated residence at least 10 days before the election. In addition, you can mail in or drop off this Voter Registration Form with your proof of residence.

ABSENTEE VOTING: AVAILABLE BY MAIL OR IN PERSON. DEADLINE IS Thursday, MARCH 28TH, 2024, BY 5:00 p.m. AT OWEN CITY HALL

**Deadlines for Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, General Election**
Voters can register in the following ways. All voters must provide a Proof of Residence document when registering to vote by mail, in person at the clerk's office, or at the polls on the day of the elections:

Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 — DEADLINE TO REGISTER BY MAIL — Your voter registration form and proof of residence must be postmarked to your municipal clerk by this date.

Wednesday, March 13th, 2024DEADLINE TO REGISTER ONLINE — using https://myvote.wi.gov — Voters who can match their name, date of birth, Wisconsin Driver's License or State ID number, and address with the Wisconsin DMV can register to vote online.

Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. — DEADLINE TO REGISTER IN YOUR MUNICIPAL CLERK'S OFFICE — Voters may register in person in their municipal clerk's office during business hours until 5:00 p.m. on the Friday before the election.

Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. — REGISTER TO VOTE AT YOUR LOCAL POLLING PLACE — Voters can register to vote at their polling place on election day (833 W. 3rd Street, Owen, WI 54460).

 

Absentee Voting  Deadlines for the Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, Primary Election:

All voters in Wisconsin can request an absentee ballot be mailed to them for any reason. Voters must be registered before they can request an absentee ballot. Voters may request their absentee ballot in writing. To request an absentee ballot on MyVote.wi.gov, click here. You must provide a photo ID with your absentee ballot request; more information on photo ID can be found here.
 
March 29th through April 2nd at 5 p.m., 2024 — Deadline for In-Person Absentee—Voters can request and vote an absentee ballot in person in their municipal clerk's office. Office hours vary by municipality, and some municipal offices may not offer additional in-person absentee hours. Please get in touch with your municipal clerk for absentee voting hours. 

April 2nd, 2024—Deadline to Request an Absentee Ballot via MAIL—Regular and Permanent Overseas Voters—If you are a regular or Permanent Overseas Voter, your absentee ballot request must be received by your municipal clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. 

April 2nd, 2024 - Deadline to Request an Absentee Ballot-Indefinitely Confined - If a voter is indefinitely confined, your municipal clerk must receive your absentee ballot request. - Deadline for Hospitalized Voters - Voters in a hospital may request a ballot be brought to them by an appointed agent if they are hospitalized in the seven days preceding the election.  
**Hospitalized electors may request an absentee ballot between March 29th - April 2nd, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

April 2nd, 2024 @ 5:00 p.m. - Deadline to Request an Absentee Ballot-Military - If you are a voter in the military, your absentee ballot request must be received by your municipal clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. 

April 2nd, 2024 @ 8:00 p.m. - Deadline to Return Absentee Ballot -  If you have already received an absentee ballot, you must return your absentee ballot by mail or delivery to your municipal clerk. Your municipal clerk must receive your ballot no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
